Then my little boy was born, and the confusion seemed to go away-I didn't get asked the "is it a boy or girl" question...until last night...
We ventured out to our favorite Chinese restaurant last night as no one wanted to cook. We had a very successful dinner. Amazingly there was no tantrums, no running around the whole perimeter, no throwing of food, and no climbing on furniture. It was actually quite enjoyable....we may even go out again. The nice lady, who I assume owns the restaurant, knows who I am as I get takeout on a weekly basis there. Not so much with the rest of my family. She was in love with my little man and after a little bit of playing with him, she asks, "..boy?, girl?"...as she's pointing to him. My husband and I both inform her of his male gender and she says, "he looks like girl..." Really??
I wonder about it, and I take in a deep physical impression of my little man to see if he does look like a little girl..nope. Definitely not to me. But then I got to wondering if little kids in her Asian culture all look like little girls, 'cuz he seriously does not look like a little girl to me. Just a rambunctious, rowdy, food stained, little boy. What do you think?

oh my gosh! That is too funny! He DOES NOT look like a girl at all!
Hi! I just stumbled upon your blog and read this story and had to comment. He is precious! He looks nothing like a girl. Your photography is amazing! Also, I think I would have asked the waitress if she was pregnant. One stupid comment deserves another. Have a great day!
I do not think he looks like a girl. But he is a BEAUTIFUL boy! I mean look at that sweet face!! Don't let that lady's comment get to you! He is a little man. Some people really shouldn't try to make conversation....lol.
